SCHOOL REPORT
This week our wonderful Gr 3-6 swimming team participated in the Southern Interschool Swimming Carnival at the Hobart Aquatic Centre. Mr Patulny, Katie Andrikonis and “Nanny” Marlene, one of our invaluable community volunteers, supported the team at this event. Despite a couple of students succumbing to sickness in the lead-up to the carnival, a number of team members “stepped up” swimming in extra events and representing the school with great distinction. Mr Patulny reported some excellent individual results and said that our team supported each very positively.
We would like to thank our swimmers and the adults who supported them for the efforts.
On another sporting matter, our school triathlon team will compete on November 23rd at the Southern Schools Triathlon Challenge at Bellerive Beach. A team of 25 students will compete in individual and team races. To support our individual and team bike riders prepare for this exciting event, Ant Adler will provide a bike safety check between 9:00-11:00am on Wednesday November 21st at school and help students to ensure their bikes are safe and ready to go. The school will provide transport for students and their bikes to the triathlon, with the first event starting at 10:00am. Mr Lockey will supervise the team on the day.
We hope our triathletes enjoy the experience!
