PRINCIPALS REPORT
Social Skills
Our social skills focus over the past few weeks has been ‘My job, your job’. Students have been talking about their responsibilities as learners and members of our school community. This includes showing care and respect for others and our school and always trying our best.
Book Week
We held a fabulous book week assembly on Monday afternoon with all classes sharing work around a book they have really enjoyed reading. It was lovely to see so much enthusiasm for reading! We were thrilled to have the kinders join us for the first time and they did a fantastic job parading their outfits in front of such a big audience. Thank you to the families who purchased from our book fair. These purchases help our school to purchase new books for our library.
Congratulations!
We love celebrating the achievements of members of our school community! Firstly, well done to Jayden Walker who was selected to represent our school in the Bowen Eagles Football team. A big congratulations to our school business manager, Jodie Gaul, who graduated on the weekend with an Associate Degree in Applied Business. Jodie completed her studies while working full-time at our school. What a remarkable achievement!
School Fair
Our annual school fair is fast approaching. The school association have been working tirelessly for many months to make sure it is a huge success. We do still need volunteers to work on a number of stalls on the evening as well as helpers to set up and clean up on the day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All money raised goes directly to making our school a better place. We look forward to seeing all of you there!
