PRINCIPALS REPORT

Newsletter week 1, term 3

Dear Families,

I am thrilled to be able to let you know that I will be staying on at Risdon Vale Primary School as the permanent principal. I am so excited to continue working with you to ensure our students have the very best opportunities for learning.

We have had a wonderful start to term three with students returning feeling excited and ready to learn. Our new outdoor classroom is complete and our grade 3/4 and 5/6 classes have already begun to make use of this space. This term, our primary classes are using the outdoor space, garden and kitchen to support their learning about pyramids and about communicating respectfully with others.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to the new families who have joined us this term. I am confident that you will love being a part of our school community. I would also like to welcome several new members of staff who will be joining us this term. Our new social worker is Kristy Pearce and she will be working at our school on Thursdays. Mr John McCormack (Mack) will be our new school chaplain and will be joining us every Monday and Chloe Clark will be working with us as a Teacher Assistant.

We are all looking forward to a very exciting and busy term of learning ahead!

Rachael Wells
Principal

Thank you to Mr Koppelmann for building our sandpit and deck for our outdoor classroom and thank you to the school association for raising the funds for this project.
