PRINCIPALS REPORT

Have a Go, Don’t Say No

Our whole school social skills focus for this fortnight is “Have a go, don’t say no”. We are talking about the importance of trying things and giving our very best even when it is a challenge. Our grades 3-6 students showed us what this looks like when every single student participated in our school cross country in very cold conditions. They were all so rightfully proud of themselves!

Cross Country

Well done to all of our grade 3-6 students who participated in the school cross country last week. Everyone had a go and gave their best on the day. It was wonderful to see the students supporting one another and cheering each other on. The first six placegetters in each grade are representing our school at the inter-school event held at Lindisfarne North Primary. I know they will all give their very best effort and be wonderful representatives of our school.

Improvements to our school

You may have noticed works happening in the early childhood playground area. Our outside classroom is well on the way with the awning and deck next to be completed. Next to the garden, we have three shade shelters being constructed. We are planning to use two as seated areas for quiet play and one for a sandpit. Along with our new trees, these shelters will provide much needed shade for our early childhood students. A huge thank you to the School Association for raising the funds to pay for the shelters.
