PRINCIPALS REPORT
Our main priority for this year is improving student wellbeing and safety. We want our students to feel safe and happy and ready to learn so they can make the very best of the opportunities we offer them at school. This is not an easy task for any school but, if we work together, I know that we can be successful.
The staff have already started looking at ways to make improvements. Firstly, we have selected three new school values that reflect what is most important to us in a way that can be easily understood by all of our students. They are:
Is it safe?
Is it fair?
Does it show you care?
Students and their teachers have been discussing what these values mean and what they look like in action in different parts of our school.
It is important for us to all work together to support our students to understand what it means to be safe, fair and care for others, our school and our learning. This includes being good role models. Our Respectful Schools Agreement that was created last year is included in this newsletter as a reminder of the expectations for all adults in our school.
